Insanely itchy for 9 days...what is this?

just all of a sudden one day my arms started to itch, then my legs, now my torso, its not dry skin, lotion only help maybe 5%, showers are HORRIBLE now and make it worse, aloe vero gel helps temporarily. Could it be allergies even if i dont show any typical symptoms of allergies? No runny nose or anything, just itching like a druggie in rehab! i do plan on calling the dr. in a few days but until then........
