How high is the Japanese language in demand in the Navy?

The utilization of Japanese and many languages are in demand in all branches of the military. However, you seem to think they will take a person with no training in these languages and give them an education. No, that is not true. Many recruits already speak Japanese as a second or even first language. Many recruits have a college degree with a major in Japanese or another language in demand such as Arabic or Chinese. You cannot expect to enter a position with no former language ability in this day and age in the military. You must have an initial significant fluency in the language before you will be considered for a position that utilizes this language. This ability may be natural, that is, you may be a Japanese American with great fluency in the language already, or based on taking Japanese at the high school or college level with some great degree of fluency. That is the honest and realistic answer.
